Who We Are
After working with high school students in the US who were not US citizens, we discovered just how difficult the college application process was for international students and we set out to do something about that. We recognize the importance of building a bridge to US colleges and universities in order to enrich not only the lives of those outside the US, but our lives as well.
Our people consist of high school college counselors, international college professors, businessmen and women and avid world travelers. What brings us together is our love of learning, an understanding of the importance of higher education, an appreciation of different cultures and a desire to help students obtain an American education. Our counselors are certified college counselors with years of experience helping students apply to college in the US. We look forward to helping students who, like you, are considering continuing your education in the United States.
What We Do
If it is your desire to attend a college or university in the United States, Chaperon can be your guide. We can help you understand the US education system, college options, application process, scholarship opportunities and what life is like in the many diverse United States. We stay with you through the entire process, helping you make decisions that put you in the best possible position to gain acceptance at an US institution. We are not affiliated with any specific university having only your best interest in mind when assisting you with your college search.
Our mission is simple: promote closer educational relations between the people of the United States and those of other countries by building a bridge from our world to yours and ultimately transforming lives at both ends.
The USA has the world’s largest international student population, with nearly 600,000 students choosing to broaden their education and life experience in the United States. Nearly 4% of all students enrolled in higher-level education are international students, and the numbers are growing. From the mid-1950’s, when international student enrollment was only just reaching 35,000, international education in the USA has come a long way.*
